Meet Me In Memes

I love memes and I use them daily whenever I’m messaging with my family and friends. My phone photo storage is probably 30% memes if I’m being honest— it’s almost embarrassing at this point. So imagine my delight when I stumbled across this trend of introducing yourself using only memes!

I’ve seen this trend (can we call it that?) all over my bookstagram feed, so I thought it would be fun to post my version of this trend in a blog post before I post it on my instagram (@novelstorian). Since my blog is a book blog I thought it would be appropriate to only show “bookish memes” or book related memes so you, my dear readers, can meet me and get to know my reading habits at the same time!

The hardest part about finishing a book is leaving the world within it.
At this point my credit card should be taken away from me, but I really need the collector’s edition of ‘Six of Crows’ by Leigh Bardugo.
Maybe I should implement a “book buying ban” for myself. Also this Agatha meme means I can combine Books and Marvel– two of my favourite things.
(p.s have you guys watched ‘WandaVision’? If not, go watch it!)
I have been guilty of doing this — especially during my reading slump days. When tiktok seems more interesting than the book, you know it’s bad.
It rarely happens these days, but when it does I am very, very proud.
When the author has the audacity to make you fall in love with a fictional character only to kill them off in the next five chapters.
Exhibit: A (refer to the meme and caption above)
I swear there have been instances where a family member or a friend of mine has had to physically steer or pull me away from a bookstore’s entrance.
Relatable.
Trust me when I tell you I have lost sleep over books.
To the books waiting patiently on my tbr shelf, you’ll have to wait a little while longer I’m afraid. Book Depository has just confirmed that my order has shipped and is due to arrive in 3-5 business days.
