I don’t think I have ever done a book haul on this blog, which is weird because I love book hauls. I’m a pretty nosy person (please tell me I’m not alone lol!), so I love seeing what new books other people have recently purchased. Book hauls are also a great way to discover new books that I haven’t heard of, and a great way to get new book recommendations too. Youtube is my go-to place for watching book hauls, but recently I’ve been seeing a lot of book hauls on #bookstagram and #booktok.
I thought it would be fun to do monthly book hauls on this blog to share with you any of my recent book purchases. These book hauls would also include any ARCs (Advanced Reader’s Copies) that I’ve been sent by publishers.
The first book haul post will include books that I purchased in February and March just because I didn’t buy too many books during these months.
Let’s get to it!
February
- The Doldrums (The Doldrums #1) by Nicholas Gannon
- The Doldrums and the Helmsley Curse (The Doldrums #2) by Nicholas Gannon
I bought these two books from World of Books, a second-hand online book retailer, and they arrived in great on condition. I recall seeing this book series being recommended from a Youtube video by a BookTuber. I was really intrigued by the premise of this book, the illustrations inside the book. At the time, I was also on the hunt for more middle-grade books because what very little knowledge I had of middle-grade came from the Dorky Diary series and the Wimpy Kid book series— so pretty much non-existent lol.
- Daughter of the Moon Goddess (The Celestial Kingdom Duology #1) by Sue Lynn Tan
This book was FairyLoot’s Book of the Month. I was so glad to receive this book in the box, because that meant I didn’t need to pre-order book. The edition that FairyLoot have blessed us with is probably the prettiest book I now own.
March
- Falling by T.J. Newman
Purchasing this book was a result of one of my 11pm Goodreads browsing. I was scrolling through one of my Goodreads groups, and saw someone recommend ‘Falling’. They were practically raving about the book, naming it one of their most memorable reads of the year. I was curious so I clicked the link to the Goodreads page, read the synopsis, and immediately rushed to Amazon to purchase the book.
Lucky for me, the book was available for Prime next day delivery, and by the next morning I had a parcel waiting for me with this book nestled inside.
- The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea by Axie Oh
This book was FairyLoot’s book of the month. I had heard lots of great things about this book, and I was so excited about the fact that it is a mythology retelling. This book was one of my high anticipated book releases of the year so having this gorgeous copy on my bookshelf was the cherry on top!
- The Library by Bella Osborne
ARCs (Advanced Readers Copies) Haul
- The Kindred by Alechia Dow
This book was kindly sent to me by Harper360YA.
- Gideon Green in Black and White by Katie Henry
This book was kindly sent to me by Harper360YA.
