I thought this would be a fun blog post to post every Sunday (hopefully, if I’m consistent enough!). I love reading these types of posts, so I thought I would take inspiration and add my own spin to the trend. These posts will be shorter than my ‘Monthly Reading Wrap-Ups’ because there’s only so much that can happen within a week– although I do think most of the updates will be relating to university so be warned!
Things That Happened This Week:
- Started putting together a ‘Operation Christmas Child’ box.
This is a charity that operates to ensure that children all around the world, who may not be able to receive any Christmas gifts this year, will get a shoebox filled with fun goodies prepared by people/volunteers. All you need is a medium sized shoebox (check measurements on the website), some fun toys and treats (ideas and preferences available on the website) and a shipping label. You then take your nicely prepared shoebox to a drop off location and the charity will handle the rest. They operate in many parts of the world, including the US and UK, so feel free to see if a drop off location is near you!
Collection Week for the UK is on Nov. 15 — 22, 2021

- Ordered some (quite a few actually!) books online.
I bought quite a few books during the week, which is a good thing for me as a reader, but not so much for my credit card and limited bedroom space. I might do a dedicated blog post for the new books I purchased so far soon. Among those books were two(2) Stephen King books because I have been wanting to get into his works. Any Stephen King recommendations please leave in the comments below!
- Caught a bad cold and had to miss a couple classes
If periodically having to blow my nose and using up two boxes of tissues wasn’t enough, I also lost my voice for a day and was left with a really sore throat. I did use the time in bed to get some reading done, though.

- The One About A Badass Female: Love Me to Death (Lucy Kincaid #1) by Allison Brennan | Book ReviewHi, friends! Today is another day to talk about a book. Today’s book review features one of my favourite kinds of female characters– a fighter despite a complicated, harsh backstory. I’ve been in the mood more crime novels these days because they are usually quick, easy reads that transport readers straight to the middle of… Continue reading The One About A Badass Female: Love Me to Death (Lucy Kincaid #1) by Allison Brennan | Book Review
